The Pendulum Swings Again

What a pleasant surprise it was to return from vacation and find that my blog (and blogging software) had been annihilated by some bastard hacker. I started to go down the road of reinstalling and recreating the blog when I came to the same conclusion as Tony (also affected by the same hacker) and said Screw it, I'm too damn busy maintaining software and servers during my day job to have to worry about it for blogging. And anyway, I haven't been doing anything in the least bit fancy with my blog, so there's no need to run it myself.

So that's the current position of the pendulum which has on one side "Doing it myself" and on the other "Letting someone else do it". Although the speed vaies, the pendulum is always in motion and I am never fully satisfied. At some point, desire or frustration will overwhelm, and the pendulum will fly back to the DIY side, and the cycle will repeat.

In the meantime, I'm just blogging.
