The new name

You may be wondering about the strange new name of this blog. It's a reference to a fictional book in the novel The Abortion: An Historical Romance 1966 by Richard Brautigan, which I was reading on the train ride home last night. The main character in the book is a librarian at a library (it's actually the Presidio branch of the SFPL) where none of the books have ever been published -- people of all kinds just come in and put their manuscripts on a shelf of their choosing. The fictional book I'm referring to is described as so:

BREAKFAST FIRST by Samuel Humber. The author said tht breakfast was an absolute requisite for travelling and was overlooked in too many travel books, so he decided that he would write a book about how important breakfast was in travelling.

Seemed good enough for me.
